    Good Friday shave:

    Dubl Duck Wonderedge
    Omega Boar brush
    Mitchell's Wool Fat SS
    Thayer's
    Booster's Oriental Spice AS
    Nivea ASB
    Trumper's Sandalwood Cologne

I have not used this Dubl Duck for a few months, and was actually going to sell it, but hot damn, its a nice razor. It will be staying in my rotation for a while.

    Default Easter morning

A beautiful Easter morning, and we are off for a hike, the whole family.
Today's shave was superb. The C.V.Heljestrand MK #33 in Ivory is one of my favorite blades.
Paired with a Thäter 2 band, and the wonderful XPec range of fine products, this was one for the books

    Barry,

I'm glad to hear that you decided to hold on to your dubl duck Wonderedge. They are indeed nice razors.

I'd love to see photos of your hike. I'm trying to imagine what Norway is like...

I'm afraid I didn't bring the camera today, but here's a couple shots I took of the same route on an earlier trip. It's just a short trip out in the forrest around here, so nothing fancy really.
I used to fish all summer long in these small ponds as a kid, and I do love being out there, walking the dog, or just relaxing with a good trip in the calm of the forrest

This first little pond was my favorite bathing spot growing up. Lots of memories from here.

Here's my favirote fishing spot, I didn't catch all that much, but dang, we had great fun trying!

And finally, a shot back towards home from a high point in the terrain just by that first lake.

Prep: Hot Water Wash, Baby Oil Gel
    Razor: Friedmann and Lauterjung Electric
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
    AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Finish: Brute Cologne
Tunes: Bad Company- Feel Like Makin' Love, Rolling Stones- Start Me Up, Aerosmith- Sweet Emotion

Your basic one pass weekend shave. The edge on this razor coupled with it's weight and thickness seem to result in just great, very close shaves. It's a beautiful day and I'm off to the beach.
