I'm still sick but I was definitely feeling much better than yesterday. Removing a few days of beard growth was quite nice but did remind me I have to touch up the edges of a few of my razors.

I was feeling well enough to bring out my super duper extremely high tech homemade zoom lens and take a few pictures of the set up for todays shave. I passed on this one in favour of the one I used.

    SATURDAY
Thanks, folks, for a week of great photos, razors, fru-fru, and ideas!
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: Stroker’s Find
Mug: Coffee and soup for lather
    Brush: Barbershop Boar
    Razor: Geneva Cutlery 7/8ths
Hone: George the Third. Unidentified but a wondrous finisher
    Aftershock: Alum block
    Splash: Sample, Captain’s Choice “BayRum”
Today: Another dim day, The Shave. I found the Geneva on the ‘bay. It looked different? Yes; I didn’t know Geneva made a 7/8ths! I found that out when it arrived! 1920 in pencil on the coffin. A little time on the hones removed the corrosion and a bit of the bevel. The Captain's Choice Bay Rum is a very strong and earthy fragrance. I like it!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

A fine shave to start Saturday morning. Lots of running around to do this weekend. This promises to be one of those weekends where you're glad to get back to work on Monday and get some rest.

Sent a problem child old 5/8 Challenge razor that was beating my butt on the stones to our member MAGPIE and let him have his way with it
Razor; Challenge Cutlery 5/8 square point
Brush; Vulfix "Old Original Super Badger" medium size
Soap; VDH (the other soap pictured was a handy prop and I use it on "special occasions").
    After shave Musgo Real

Magpie did a great job bringing that hard steel SOB Challenge back from the dead! I could get it close, but that just really doesn't work except for hand grenades and the like.
    3 pass shave and BBS!

Great Shave today and yesterday with the standard fair of MWF, the Invicta Razor and some Lilac Vegetal. I know some people dislike the smell of the Vegetal, at least in the reviews I have read, but I have really grown to like it. I can say I like the Lilac better than the Clubman. Anyway, great day yesterday at the DC temple. Should have given Bill a holler but I think that man stays busy.

Lilac Vegetal really does seem to be a love it or hate it fragrance. Like you, I'm a huge fan. I never did understand the legions of people not only don't care for it but find the smell downright objectionable. I've actually gotten compliments when I wear it.
