Just got into straight razor shaving. 3rd time trying it out and finally managed a shave that is somewhat respectable! Let me know what you guys think of my starter kit!
Pre-Shave Cream: Proraso
Razor: Dovo Pearlex (Stainless)
SUPER Lather: SRD Lavender Soap & Kiss My Face (Fragrance Free)
Brush: Beauty Strokes H.I.S shaving brush ($35.00). Got a Beaufort Badger Brush with my Razor kit and it does not come CLOSE to the soft touch of the synthetic Beauty strokes!
After Shave: Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm.

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Been sorting out the Mappin Bros. I took today with the Hart and I still have work to do on the Mappin. Finally found out the problem. There is a warp in the toe. I think I will be reseting the bevel so that this can be taken care of. Other than than that great shave. Liking my new soap. AoS Sandalwood finally ran out.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Another icy cold water shave this morning, as it was still a little warm and humid. The lather was thin and inefficient unfortunately, maybe the Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn doesn't like cold water or maybe it was just me. The shave itself was pretty good though; just a single pass.
It was back to the gym at lunchtime and I'm glad it was! Off indoor rock climbing (bouldering) again tomorrow morning...
