Late night shave but I got a little overzealous ringing in the new year and earlier in the day a shave seemed like just too big a project to tackle. I was quickly reminded why it had been so long since my last night of heavy tequilla drinking. More years ago than I care to remember Jose Cuervo was a friend of mine but apparently the parameters of that relationship have been redefined. Hank Jr. is spot on. Hangovers DO hurt more than they used to.Last edited by 1OldGI; 01-02-2013 at 02:20 AM.

Thanked: 485Wednesday
Well up early as it’s back to work today. I was in bed by 8 o’clock last night, so the early rise didn’t bother me too much. A nice shave with Mme Scodioli ‘Boheme’ soap, the J A Hellberg frameback (which is currently my favourite razor) and Mme Scodioli ‘Step Right Up’ aftershave.
After the shave it was time for a cappuccino (of sorts) from my new (second hand) coffee machine and off to work I went.
At lunch time it was good to get back to the gym; I had a great workout despite the hot weather.

Thanked: 485Hi, yeah, it's not too bad at all. I do still find creams easier to lather thn soaps in general, but the Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn lathers really well. It has a nice fresh scent, though it's a rather small puck. I was attracted to the natural nature of the soap, I'm trying to stay away from chemicals...

For some reason I decided to practice what some would consider self flagellation in the straight razor shaving world. I used cold tap water and believe me tap water is cold this time of year here. Add to that Williams shave stick soap and most ardent straight shavers would begin to weep. All kidding aside, the result was a BBS. Wonders never cease. Have a good one.
