Thanked: 443That is some fine work on your nose, thanks for being man enough to share it with us!
About moles... there have been threads about them in the past; search for "shaving moles" in the little Google box up top. Here's my favorite post on the subject."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

Thanked: 0I'm new and have only been straight razor shaving for 8 days now. Got myself a decent cut this morning while doing XTG while pulling the skin under my jawline up to my cheek to shave it. It didn't hurt much, but it definitely didn't want to stop bleeding. I had to take the styptic pen to it about 3 times.

Thanked: 443DAHE4--Thanks for sharing. For what it's worth, that's pretty much the commonest location for cuts, even among old hands. It must be a spot that seems easy, so we let our concentration slide a little. Can't do that, as now you know.
Best wishes and rapid healing"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

Thanked: 36Did this the other day. I dug the point of my new razor into my cheek (result of being in a hurry and not stretching the skin). Bled significantly at the time- pic is 12 hrs after the fact.
Cheers,
JC

Thanked: 443Well, let that be a lesson... keep a camera in your shave den!

Not the worst I have done but this time I was bitten when I started to rush a little. So now I have this reminder to slow down.

Ah, we meet again, nice set-up. I love photography!! However, I thought you might enjoy this very short video by one of our mentors, spazola, which was done for a theater class, I think.
Enjoy!!!

i didnt know about this thread untill now.
i did this friday night (its currently monday night). did the left side of my face, and my neck just fine. got to the right side and during the first stroke my blade stopped on my face. blood was everywhere. i destroyed my shaving towel. i had to go to my car to get the first aid kit. in my haste i pulled of the skin flap that was left rather then leave it there to use a butterfly on. everyone keeps asking me what the hell i did to my face. i tell them i did it shaving and i get the "how did you do that while shaving?". i then have to explain that i was STRAIGHT RAZOR shaving.
