Thanked: 1160Not really..they didn't drag you into the shower to stare at you, they drug you in there to make you clean yourself and nothing more. There was always that one gross person who didn't believe in showering after gym class and believe me..they get ripe fast....deesguuusting !

Thanked: 1160Just to clarify....most times because of time and such I would just DE shave but if there ever were and there just may be a time when It would be feasable to set up straight razor kit for a shave amongst the general populace then sure i would.Let'em ooh, ahh, cringe whatever......if it makes converts,I'm cool and if it scares'em well then.....Muahahahahahahah !!!!!

Flash back to the '60's!! Had a part time job when I was in High School at the local YMCA. I worked in the Locker Rm as an attendant handing out keys, towels, baskets, etc.
The Y then was men only and clothing optional. Yes, pool, sun roof, where ever. And yes, shaving. You'd have 3 or 4 guys 60/70 yr old guys in a row shaving naked most with inguinal hernias! The only place they tried to unsuccessfully ban shaving was in the large stream room. Different times.

To loosely papahrase scouthikerdad I think,to some you are carrying a folding 3 inch weapon. You may have some explaining to do, not that you probably couldn't talk your way out of it, but none the less would be pain.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Thanked: 247Now contemplating shaving on the bus or possibly the subway.
Seriously though, my concerns would be (in order of importance):
1. Being able to enjoy my shave the way I can at home relaxed and lazily in my den.
2. Being bumped by someone else.
3. Having adequate space and security to lay out my stuff while I shave.
4. Have not thought of it yet...
5. Have not thought of it yet...
6. Have not thought of it yet...
7. Have not thought of it yet...
8. Have not thought of it yet...
9. Have not thought of it yet...
20. What anyone else thinks about me shaving at the gym. There are far greater (weapon) concerns at most gyms than a straight razor.
