As to bandsaw blades, there is a place down the street, will make what you want, how you want.

    Falcon saw blades.

I once worked in a shop which made insulation fabricating machinery. The big seller was huge band-saws with a mandrel which had vacuum applied running alongside the blade. We made grinders, saws, rollers, and shears, automated and manual.
Seems the object was to insulate pipes in refineries, so big blocks of stinky insulation could be cut, routed, rounded, applied, and covered with rolled aluminum, wired-on.
ANYHOO, one job I did there was to make band-saw blades with bulk material using a rolling measurement devise and a blade-welder. Interesting stuff. One end went in and was clamped, same as the other. A lever was pulled and the ends came together, sparks flew, and I had a bandsaw blade!
    Memory Lane, I suppose!

He has some interesting razors always at stellar low prices, you roll the dice, but they've always been OK...

BTW, what's the best way to use the paddle?

Cotton side first and then soft leather before every shave?

When should I use the rough leather?

When I come from the 12K hone, should I go diamond sprayed cotton, rough lather, clean cotton and soft leather?

Lastly, let me thank Mr. Addleman for patiently accommodating all the requirements to get it delivered to me. He was great to deal with!

    Cheers!
    Nice Aust!

Tom, Roy, we have a place in the city we take all our carbide toothed blades for sharpening. They have walls of band saw blades, and is probably the best spot to get them locally. But Roy, your so right. Once you know the specific size for the blade you need, it's so easy to just click, click, click. Band saw is something I still don't have in my shop. Work and Pops both have one and I've always just used them.

I used to work at a foundry and we basically did the same. Put the two ends together and use a spot welder.

    Memory lane!

Just reminds of the variety of things which used to be done in-house. It was impressive as I saw it done.
    Not as much, these days?

The 3/8 th looks like it will be my go to blade for the saw, but I picked up the 1/8 ths to try a bit of scroll saw type cuts on a few Christmas gift ideas. I have an old ryobi scroll saw that I've used for most of my scale builds to date but am hopeful this little bandsaw will take over that task.
Scroll saw is handy and all, but can't cut a straight line well, and the reciprocating motion of it can be problematic on some materials as well.
Must say, these Bosch blades have a very sharp edge, and nice temper to the blade compared to the stock blade that came with the saw, even though they are made by the same company.

We had a blade welder just like you described. It was built into the band saw in or shop class,at school.
    Cool stuff...!!
