Hi Steve. I have found that different boar brushes will have different break in times. Some may take 3 or 4 shaves and others like my Semogue Owners Club took a couple weeks. Break in times can vary quite a bit. With my S.O.C, each day I soaked it in very warm water for 15 mins and hand lathered to try and help along the breaking in of the brush.

Not really from the mail, but...
I deliver gas to a Costco and the operator at the fuel pumps keeps a look out for little shave rdlated things for me. He ran across these two brushes and got them for me. I gave him 15 bucks for both of them but i really only wanted the travel brush. Still, i think the original travel brush is worth the 15 bucks.
A little clean up and on the shelf they go. But the travel brush really does feel soft. Still, just more brushes for the wall. It's just Sharpening, right?

Bought this pair of Soviet era Russian razors.
The price was good but they are coming from Estonia so I'll be waiting for a while I'm sure. I'm not even sure if the Soviet razors were any good but I don't have any and they looked good so...what the hellIron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Спасибо. Or should I say thank you Bob. They haven't shown shipping info yet but I know things move slowly when you cross continental borders

This just arrived. Shipping from Amazon was $40, so I checked with the vendor and it was $17, so I bought it from the vendor and the order was fulfilled and delivered by amazon. Amazon makes no sense to me.
I am going to order some washers and experiment with making large and small dome collars. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Shaun,
I think that you'll really enjoy that Dapping Set. It looks almost identical to the one I purchased.
My buddy Ski dug out some scrap wood and we built a storage box for mine. Nothing fancy but it works----
