Thanked: 0All the way from Canada to the Netherlands, today Noble Otter Jungle Warrior finally arrived. I bought it at topofthechain (because it was sold out already at Maggard), and it took way longer than at Maggard Razors, not sure why.

Thanked: 0Another mail call for me.
I have just received a new sharpening stone, it is a German Thuringian yellow / green. It's a finishing stone. I bought from someone on a German forum forum-der-rasur, way better than all the crazy pices on ebay

Decided to splurge at Maggard’s given LPL wasn’t atop Obie’s soap list, and their clearance section had this #1 contender at $20 off:

Thanked: 4206Not in the mail, but did come across this nice blank in a box in the crawl space while doing some prewinter cleaning.
The approximate age of it jus staggers the mind.
I had some other material, mislabeled as kauri I believe and I think it was Oz that pointed out the likelihood of it being something else.
This stuff is surprisingly soft still, compared to say Irish big oak. That stuff is almost rock like and a bugger to turn, this stuff feels more like normal wood, despite it insane age dating.
Not sure what I’m going to make from it as there is only this piece I’ve found yet..
Cheers..Last edited by MikeB52; 11-09-2019 at 03:43 PM.
