Mine are aftershokz, they transmit through the bone so I can also wear them with my custom ear plugs, they have great noise canceling so I can also use the phone in noisy environments.

Bose! You got some serious sound, mine are not very expensive so if i kill them up while I'm in the garden I won't be the end of the world.

Transmit through the bone! I haven't heard of that, I'll have to look at some but it sounds almost scary.

Audio is a big deal in my life. I enjoy quality music. Too bad I didn't learn this before I damaged my hearing with extremely loud music.
BTW, Bose is good but over the years other companies have surpassed the quality of Bose.
But the cost is just getting too much. My headphones here in my Radio/ Razor room/ Man Cave cost 300 bucks and that still isn't the best. More of a mid-range in cost.

Shawn, tell meore about these. I am in a very noisy environment (locomotive) and think this could be useful. Normal earbuds dont stop the noise, so I have to crank them up...double trouble to the eardrums.

    Hi Scott,

Just a question out of interest really. What do you do on a locomotive?

I was a train driver in England out of Euston, if we were caught with music, headphones or even switched on cell phones all hell would have broken loose.

In Britain train drivers have a deadman but it's not held down by hand, it's a foot peddle and incorporates a vigilance switch, every two minutes it beeps and if the driver doesn't release the pedal and press it down again the brakes come on. I can see headphones making my miss the vigilance and coming to a full stop.

Also we had AWS, it is a magnet in the track just before the signals. If the approaching signal is green the AWS rings and can be ignored but if the signal is red or yellow it buzzes and if you don't press the AWS button the train will stop.

If for some reason you missed the yellow or didn't get the brakes rubbing, by the time you saw the red you are in the crap deep, it used to take 1 1/4 miles to stop my trains from 110 mph so we avoided distractions whenever possible.

My son has a pair of aftershockz bone conduction headphones, a $50 pair and he says he see no reason to spend a fortune on them because his are as good as he needs without spending a fortune.

I am a locomotive engineer hauling freight. Of course I would never have an electronic device on while on duty.

All of our track is track warrant control, so I have a section of track that is mine and mine alone. Our main line is 25 mph, however when we interchange with another railroad their track is signal controlled and 50mph.

We are down to pretty much 10 mph right now and things get boring AF out in the deep rural areas, so I operate everything off reflex as one subconsciously does while driving an auto.

I am going to look into the Aftershockz, thanks for the info.

See, this is why you have to really look closely at lots. Sometimes there are hidden gems and no one notices.

A Wade & Butcher FBU. The pictures suck and it's hard to say but sometimes you gamble and win, sometimes you gamble and lose. I did at much freehand geometry as I could to judge the width. Still, I managed to get the whole lot for $17 and change per razor which is not bad since the whole lot sold for less than most W&B FBUs sell for by themselves so I don't see how I can lose. I guess we'll find out.
