Josh, The red imp had a large crack in the blade, unfortunately not repairable. The only good blade of the four was the FBU. Still working on removing the rust. A big blade, a keeper for sure. FYI, Austin

Arrived today, stone is a water stone but not sure what. Light grey, been used with lather by smell.
Razor is a Lockwood bros pampas which must have been quite a beauty, ivory scales. Have cleaned up a bit with de blade, should hone up OK.
All in a leather case that is tatty, but appears to be made to suit possibly. Division between razor and hone.

I dig the leather case. It looks like it could use some stitching. The razor looks decent too. I have no idea about the hone.

It is interesting to see the instructions for using the slurry stone.

Thanks randy, yeah it's a shame. A little oil and cloth would probably have saved it. Will hone and have a look with the loupe, see what it's like before going further.

With the included rubbing stone it reminded me of a natural hone but I’ve never seen dimples on a natural.

Was thinking the same thing Shaun, but the dimples look hand made as well. Irregular pattern and all so maybe somebody did that after the fact on a natural?
