I like that style of razor. Good choice.

That razor is a keeper. Great shape and lines. Manhattan Cutlery reminds me of Wade and Butcher and believe their histories are connected. Now to fix or replace those scales?

Hey Austin. I'm hoping to keep the scales but we'll see what happens when I pull 'em apart. Maybe I can pin and glue the damaged areas.

Saving the old scales is the best way to start out. Outback is the wizard repairing horn scales and offers great advice in some old threads, probably in this one. He does wonders with super glue and baking soda I believe. Keeping these old razors as close to original is always a good thing, IMHO.

    On the way.
The razor is a bit rough but the hone looks interesting. Writing appears to be German.

It looks intriguing. Standing by to see what it is when is shows up.

Just received these yesterday. These should keep me busy for the next couple of weeks. The W&B FBU looks good but has spine rust issues. Will have to reshape the John Shaw that suffers from some rust, chips and poor previous regrind. All should clean up nicely and will need proper dressing. Good project as snow approaches NOVA.
