Thanked: 4206Plus 1 to what Dave said. Gorgeous tool.
My favourite blade in our kitchen is our Santoku. Granted a poor shade compared to that beauty.
Most practical shape for my cutting needs. Be they veggies or cow.
Might be a worthy addition to the drawer."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4826That Ginsu looks like it might be a good rope knife.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I told my wife yesterday, "oh by the way, you bought me a Christmas present today."
Saw this up for sale on the bay. l'm always sceptical when the listing says, "RARE," since they seldom are. Usually all that means is they think it should fetch a lot of money. At first glance it looks like a regular W&B Special, except for this...
I have a number of Specials and they are great shavers which is what peeked my curiosity. I've never seen a Barber's Special though. Didn't even know there was such a thing. The seller only had a few razor related things. Looks like an antique dealer with an ebay store so probably an estate sale lot they got and don't know much about it. You can usually tell when they list the blade and overall length but NOT the width that they have no clue. No sense in asking them anything. I'm intrigued to see what it is all about and if there is anything different besides the blade face etch.Last edited by PaulFLUS; 12-21-2021 at 12:47 PM.

Thanked: 603Tabac EDT and matching ASB. Ordered today; neither will arrive until next year. It's as the late Carrie Fisher once said: "The trouble with instant gratification is that it takes too long."
