Just received this lovely old 'TEMPERD STEEL' razor. It's a future restoration project but before putting in any work, I wanted to make sure it would take an edge. Took a bit of work to get through some bad, crumbly steel but looks good now. Shave with it tonight and see how she goes.

I must have rocks in my head....
ESPECIALLY since I already have rocks I am in the process of lapping and finishing right now. But I had someone make me an offer I couldn't refuse on this nephrite stone and since I love the one that I've got so much I couldn't pass it up. Thanks Mike. I have high hopes. This one looks like it could be near gem quality. It's kind of certain amount of translucence to it.

A pair of mint Sheffield Mappin & Webb razors in Ivory, these pair came my way a little while ago came in for honing, they look as if they had never touched a stone before, this time they coming to stay for a bit longer.
