I got a 5 camera security system for the house. Wireless. The cameras still need power so that is what I will be doing today. Trying to get it installed and operating.
Last week the wife told me the lady across the street came by in the morning and said she saw two guys looking into the windows of my garage door with a flashlight. This was late at night. She stepped out her front door and they ran away. When I had the garage door replaced the wife wanted the windows low enough so she could lookout. I thought they should have been higher to keep others from looking in. Guess who won.
Now my house is lit up big time! Large fixtures with 100watt bright lights on each side of the garage and a bright light at the front door. I thought this alone would have been enough to keep people away from the house, but I guess I was wrong. I think someone must have seen me doing the remodeling and seen the tools I have. It's odd that they didn't wake up the dogs as the dogs sleep in the garage at night. With a dog door going in the garage they control the garage and back yard.
It's a shame what a person has to deal with to keep his family and stuff safe!Last edited by Gasman; 08-11-2021 at 12:44 PM.

Thanked: 4827Dogs are usually a very effective alarm system. I’m surprised they did not sound off. We had a dog at one point that never barked at people, and he would let anyone in the yard, but wouldn’t let them leave. No training for that, it was just his nature. He was extra large so most people would not try to leave.

The system I got from Amazon was made in China. The website was incomplete, no phone numbers for help. Email addy returned as not a good emIl addy. 2 of the cameras didnt work right and the software
Didnt control much of anything. This morning I boxed it up and sent it back.
Went to Costco and found a system that is almost the same in ability but actually has a phone number to call for help. I will work on installing this one little at a time this week. Also this one is not wireless. It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 556Honed the Friodur 50 1/2 today: Shapton 1K => BBW => Coticule => Vermio followed by 20 laps on linen and 30 on Scrupleworks leather. Shaving later today, but the blade easily passed treetopping arm hair and HHT.
The leather razor case is very supple and well constructed.
The brush is a boars hair Lucky 7 with a metal handle. Haven’t had any luck finding any info about it. It appears to have new bristles. I’m softening it up in MWF and it seems to be very soft after only an hour.David
