In the post from a guy I know in New Mexico. I can't open the pics of the front but it's Buffalo with a usable back side (rougher like suede). It has two fabrics, one military grade nylon and one flax.

I had it custom made in 2 1/2" and black.

I'll add front pictures if I can get them to open but here is the fabric side at least.

Really looking forward to getting it, i still want a steer from Tony Miller soon too.

A piece of acrylic that is usually plenty flat from my supplier, wasn't, and I was all day and night figuring out why I couldn't get my usual results from my usual tools and methods. Unfortunately this thing is 40lbs so I won't be honing on it in hand. Still it will be good for setting bevels and for checking flatness of acrylic plates that I CAN use in hand, and for lapping stones.

This came in today, what I believe is a Dovo Fritz Bracht era razor made for Hoffritz in 6/8. I have a weakness for cracked iced celluloid with shiny bolsters like this. Took a great edge and is NOS.

It was inexpensive so I'm not out much if it doesn't turn out like I hope but I think it might be a blue green Thuringian. I bought it from a seller in Poland (so it will be a WHILE before I see it) and the description says:
"Original Wehrmacht German WWII soldier Sharpening Honing Stone for razor blade, knife used by German soldiers during WWII. Good war condition (see pictures). Size: 142mm x 32mm. This is a very rare and nice original relic WWII German. Interesting personal item Wehrmacht soldier. It is just one of those very cool, very neat German item that needs to be in every collection. Rare and original WWII item to you collection."
In other similar listing it says "bunker find." Very intriguing at the least. Seemed worth a shot.

My wife’s birthday present just came in.
She is going to be super excited, and may run out and use it in the rain.
