Got the brush in yesterday. The handle is a little cheap as I expected but I really like the knot. I prefer them on the the stiff side and this one is definitely that. Washed it out with liquid hand soap before first use an it only dropped a couple of bristles an some loose ends but performed great. Look at the bloom after only one use.

Its called Oneblade, Roy. I believe Obie did a write up on it a few years back. Uses the feather se blade the size of a de blade. Pivoting head too.
I say its a med agressive shave pushing closer to mild. My first try with it was a great shave.Last edited by Gasman; 02-25-2021 at 02:26 AM.

No, actually I did the review on it and Obie had some additional comments.
I had the Genesis Model which is the all metal one. I thought it was a gorgeous razor, very well made. The issue for me is I could never get a really good shave with it. It was simply a very mild razor and it shaved like one. Additionally, the problem to me were the feather blades it used. They reminded me of box cutter blades and they were simply not very sharp. As I recall they recommend 2 shaves only per blade.
I thought the razor was best suited to someone coming off an electric or a cartridge looking for a premium piece that looked the part.
I sold mine after a few months. I hope you have better luck than me.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I havent had to buy the blades for it yet so i cant comment on there price. Its a good looking razor for sure. Im hoping to get more than 2 shaves off one blade but only time will tell. I agree it does seem a bit mild but ive used more mild razors so i bumped this one up the scales a little. My shaves are normally 3.4 to 4 passes so it did the job last night without any issue.
The blade wiggles when in place. Its not held completely still. No up and down movement so it wasnt an issue but it made me wonder a bit. If the blade was kept still more I think it could be a more agressive razor. But Im not designer ofr razors. They must have made it that way for some reason.
For the 24.95 and free shipping i had to give it a try. Im not too sure about the pivoting head. To inguage the pivot I feel Id be using more pressure than needed for a shave. But maybe it will loosen up a touch with use.Last edited by Gasman; 02-25-2021 at 11:44 AM.
