This is my second Bengall Cast Steel and don't remember one I've seen with (at least) a bit of smiling edge towards the toe... so, I'd suggest it's been some honing wear.

BTW, these are very old razors and I don't know how was the original profile.

Below, my other one... less wear but also... less blade. Anyway... it worked.

I have had much fun with the "Sharpie Trick" to try to see how the previous owner honed.
