Thanked: 1587Thanks Mike - everyone I talk to that has one swears by it. I'll see how I go with the drying feature - might get out the tools (a'la Tim from "Tool Time") and soup that baby up to jet engine.

Thanked: 1587The power point is cool - it's been adapted to just plug into mains power. As I said, I had been thinking of one for years so when we did our renovations year before last I had a power point put in near the loo for just this scenario. Feng shui maintained.

It's just Sharpening, right?

RAD is a horrible, horrible thing. I spent WAY more than I wanted to on this one but...ya know...I just had to have it.
What was I supposed to do?
That's a nasty chip I know but it is supposedly 17/16" so I should be able to keep about 7/8"-15/16".
We'll see how it goes.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

I've been wanting a decent flashlight for quite some time now and I pulled the trigger on this. It landed yesterday. The head doesn't rotate from side to side but it does rotate up and down.
It didn't come with a battery but my Makita Drill/Impact Driver came with the 3.0Ah battery and when I purchased a dedicated impact driver I purchased two of the 5.0Ah 18v batteries so I decided to use the 3Ah with the flashlight.
I was wondering how long the flashlight would put out light so I charged the 3.0 up, installed it and turned the flashlight on and started a timer. Here's a pic at 20 hours in/it looked just a bright as when I first started it. The flashlight was about 10 feet from the wall behind the cluttered tool chest.
It's got 4 LED lights and it's quite bright. I checked again at 21 hours and the light was off. So between 20-21 of use per charge isn't bad.
I was a bit disappointed once I had it in hand and was looking through the owners manual as it says it's not water proof and it shouldn't be used in the rain---- oh well. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
