Decided to try the 7 Gears Solid Brass Adjustable DE Razor.

Really didn't need another DE, but because it's solid Brass and Adjustable, I had to try it.

Possibly my favourite scale material, my god it's hard to work and drill, it's so dense it looks like Ivory once you polish it, here's set made from Camel's bone.

It makes a big difference if you buy unbleached as opposed to bleached on how hard and how brittle the material is. I peered both the workability and colour of the natural bone slabs. If I am presuming the look of bleached, I will soak them in peroxide after I’ve worked them to get the look. Once bleached you can also dye them.

Do you mean regular drugstore strength Hydrogen Peroxide? What soak time, temp, etc do you use? Rinsing/purging cycle? Does it come out a nice ivory white?

The lower the strength the longer the soak time. Room temperature. Rinse well.

You can get 35% hydrogen peroxide on Amazon. Drug store is 3.5%

I forgot about these guys. Just dropped on the porch a few minutes ago, fresh off the slow boat from China. No, not genuine Feather or Kai. Chinese knockoffs. One takes the Feather long blade and similar, and the other takes a half DE blade. Looking forward to trying them out. Even buying one at a time, these are pretty cheap. Got them on AliExpress. I may spring for 100 or whatever the MOQ is on the DE bladed one, from regular alibaba. My customers will no doubt prefer using the cheaper style of blade. Pretty sure I can sell these at a profit but I got to use them myself for a bit, first.

The DE blade one is really hard to open. Got to press pretty hard. The long blade model, not so bad. I will load them both up with blades one of these days soon. Right now I am saving up my whiskers to make a GD shave video, so I can't try them just yet.

I have another one I bought some months ago, similar to the DE blade one. I shaved with it, and it was fine. It holds a half blade very securely and the exposure is about right for me. And now that I think of it, it was not as hard to open up as the newly arrived one. Oh. I forgot, I gave that one away. Well now I got another one.

Coincidence. I too bought one from Aliexpress via China. About 3 weeks ago now. Should be here in a week or so. On that slow boat.
