Dang. I'm sorry to read this, 1OldGI, but glad it wasn't worse. Get well!

Yesterday was cycling 24 miles in 1:38.
Today will be weights, whatever my guru has me do.
I work with a trainer, cuz, three bad lumbar discs require careful weight handling.
Cycling doesn't hurt too bad because of the way I have had the bike fits done to help the back. I don't hunch over into an aero posture ever!
Does sweating your ass off all day long because its so damn hot outside count as a workout?
Absolutely I was blessed. Last night the nurse was telling me that cyclists struck by cars generally go straight to the ICU if in fact they make it that far
I had no loss of consciousness, head trauma or internal bleeding just a busted ass leg that's really sore at the moment but will heal in time
I was hit by a car a long time ago. It was largely exceeding the legal speed limit for a neighborhood street. I had my head sewn, but no loss of consciousness, or broken bones. I was very angry, but watching it from years beyond it was kinda funny. The car hit me in my outer finger on my left hand, I flew over the roof (actually saw it), and landed behind the car. My bike was undamaged!
When the doctor told me "you are very lucky" I told him "Lucky you! You've crossed the street and nothing happened!". I was mad at him that day, but now I know that it could have been a lot worse.
