Yesterday's workout was kind of mild in comparison to my usual routines, but it was more of a 'spot' workout, focusing on chest, triceps, and some cardio. Didn't go too heavy on anything, just high reps so I could emphasize the pump.
~Flat Benchpress
~Flat Bench Dumbbell Fly's
~Narrow Grip Flat Benchpress
~Tricep Cable Pulldowns
~Tricep Rope Extensions
~25 Minutes on the treadmill, alternating between running & walking.
*Enjoy the long weekend, gents!
I forgot how much fun DOMS can be after a week away
I struggle with DOMS too, but unfortunately there's no cure, just things you can do to help speed up the healing process. I've found that time, rest & 1-2 grams of protein / pound of body weight per day, and lots of water is about the best. Good luck!
Saturday's Workout:
-3x12 Chin-ups
-3x10 Military Press
-4x10 Preacher Curls
-3x12 Leg Press
-3x10 Deadlift
-3x12 Standing Cable Fly's
-3x10 Leg Extensions
-30 minutes on bicycle
Workout felt good today, lots of energy. :o
Just got back from the gym myself, weight room still out of commission due to the car crashing through it...so used the machine weight stations in the front (I miss my free weights!) then did 35 minutes on the elliptical, then walking around the track stopping to do 5 sets of planks.
And during my track walking, after an awesome shave and workout, the women's advanced aerobics class was there, doing a major workout, all wonderfully fit, happy looking women of all ages looking great busting some moves to this song, even had me bopping along, old tune I guess from the 90's IIRC?
