I did a two mile trail run yesterday evening. The trail was in good shape so it was a nice run.

I far prefer running trail than on the tar. Even if I only have time for a 5km run, I try and minimise the tar as much as possible.

try resting a day or 3, I learns if you have to try to not vomit/pass out, then your pushing a little to hard but it doesn't feel like a workout if you don't

Today was the first strength training I've done in a month and a half- a very light version of my old routine, doing one easy set of each exercise.

Warm-up: lunges, side lunges, knee to chest, cranes, 10 air squats, 10 pushups.
Routine: squat jumps 10 reps, weighted squats 8 reps, body weight lunges 8 reps, crunches 20 reps, single leg balance 25 sec.

I'm going to do the easy version for a couple of weeks before I go back to the number of sets, reps, and intensity from where I left off.

Work your core to increase balance and posture, good start ease in to it

Good news! Physical therapy round 2 starts Monday morning @ 0700. The bad leg hasn't hurt at all for quite some time. It's just weak and a bit stoved up from all the inactivity. Hopefully someone will finally prop my crippled butt up on a bike before long. Even 15-20 minutes easy on a stationary bike would be a major victory at this point. I'm ready to take the next baby step towards getting this leg back up to speed. I've missed my daily workouts something awful. I've tried to do as much as I could but there's definitely no substitute for fresh air, sunshine and the beloved Zen of good ole aerobic exercise

Drove out to a Nature Reserve about 70km from home this morning to ride.

This reserve because of all the hills is a favourite of cyclists trying to increase their fitness levels. There is a tar road that basically runs around the circumference and a single loop is 58km's with almost 1200m of ascent. The reserve is home to numerous species of game but only managed to see a troop of Baboons and some Eland this morning.

Needless to say because I got home late, there was no SOTD.
