    Traversing at Norton Summit...

Leatherstockiings, I can't imagine a single speed mountain bike! I find it hard enough coming back home on the uphill gradient of the old railway line that's now a bike track.

    Good luck with the knee....

Nice bike ride on a nice Spring day today. Did my normal route in 41:23 which was four minutes less than last time. First time using the Map My Ride App on my phone. I thought it'd use data but it doesn't seem to. Not sure if you can access it, but the 3D option gives like a helicopter view of the track (if you have Google Earth plug-in installed).

Carl, those are cool videos. Looks like fun. I am starting to wish we had a climbing gym around here. Thanks for sharing your videos.

2.2 miles riding the mountain bike on horse trails. Riding trails is becoming my Sunday routine. I think bowhunting season starts tomorrow so I might start riding in the State Park.

Ta, thanks. There seems to be some bouldering in Missouri. You could always build your own climbing wall...

    Single speed fixed wheel...
Nice Ed. I've not flipped my rear wheel yet to turn it from a single speed to a fixed wheel. About to go for a ride now, actually. I only do wuite short rides, 15 Ks or so...

That's what this has got, i can set it up with a freewheel if I want, I just turn the wheel around. I was curious to try fixed so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. It is certainly a strange feeling at first and you need some sort of foot retention system, i am doing really short rides in comparison 5k last night, but it is a bit hilly and you are working on the downhills too (to prevent the pedals spinning too fast). I plan to do 10k or more on Wednesday as I will be cycling in the daytime rather than at dusk.
