We have a pretty big circle, if you think about it!

Thanked: 4206Tweaking the design on the bowl a bit tonight.
Didn't have a lot in the tank tonight. Fighting the local union is exhausting sometimes.
When it's not fun, step away from sharp and or spinny things.

Thanked: 4826That's funny Tom.
Mike, you should get PSAC as a union, they just roll over every time, even when there is obvious legal violations.

Good job on that repair Tuzi. I know that one probably used that piece on the end to hold the scales together but I have had great success before repairing horn scales broken on the wedge end because you can also use the ca like you did, especially if the scale is broken right over the wedge. I have ca'd the wedge to the broken scale after repairing that scale making it even stronger. For horn dust I have used my Dremel & got a broken piece of horn & used a grinding bit, grinding in one spot, making a pile of dust. I then scooped it up & put it in an old empty Rx bottle until needed.
I don't regret getting my small drill press. I was waiting on the led light to use it but it works great! It's nice to be able to drill a pin w/o the the piece being drilled moving. I would do it by hand using a cordless drill I have & sometimes my hand would move or I might be slightly off angle. This is nice with the clamps holding the razor in place.
My buddy not far from here who loves straight razors asked me if I had a spare wedge & I told him I'm sure I do. He helped me out with a ride a couple times when I didn't have any wheels. I have a Frederick Reynolds that has a broken scale & the other piece is missing, so I'm unpinning it & will either find more scales or make some for it, but it's a heavy wedge like he wants.
They used to get me to drill out broken bolts at work because I could do it pretty good. It was usually broken exhaust studs that would break & I drilled out quite a few! I also have left handed drill bits because sometimes they would grab & unscrew the stud right out of the head.
I's slightly off center but it will be okay. Once pinned, it won't even show if I did touch the inside of the collar.Last edited by engine46; 09-13-2017 at 06:27 PM.
