Remember to tape off anything you don't want scratched, with scotch tape.

1 5/8 inch shorty. Kinda short for a shorty but maybe some day when I get caught up on all the others I got to work on still. I got three more on the bench to finish but think I'll do a bit of honing this eve. After I knock a few things off the honey-do list. Ha.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 4827Gasman, I never worry about the big pivot holes. Once the pins are tight they really are quite stable. There are those that do and there is no right or wrong answer, it is all strictly optional.

These are really pretty. That Lafayette looks a little plain next to the gorgeous W&Bs and I know it's just a standard Solingen 5/8" -- but mine's actually one of my favorites. Takes a great edge and I always think of Lucinda.

Got magnets and epoxy to finally make a hug and in the next few days get my lathe set up. Gotta clear out from my room to make a baby room! Down to the basement I go.
