Wow, those scales are dazzling! That's a nice looking shorty, soon it will be shaving. And that's a nice save putting it back into service.

Tonight was a bunch of stuff.
Using a drafting compass, I measured the distance of the blade from the pivot, to the toe.
Then transfered it to the scales. Doing this will show where proper placement of the wedge, and allow a tighter fit of the blade, to wedge.
Then a rough fitting of the wedge, and scribed the OD of the scales, into the wedge with a awl, and trimmed with dikes.
Then it was a first coat of Tru Oil, and tented with a piece of printer paper, to keep the dust off.
Next was the Bengal. Dropped her in a zip lock bag, with some neats foot oil.
Being I had an hour to spare, I tore apart the Genco, Old Dutch. Gave it a cleaning with 3M, popped it back together, and polished the scales.

Nice Mike! The Genco is looking brand new, almost zero hone wear? Sweeeeet.
There's the Tru-oil doing the grain on that Zebra justice. Having fun watching that one come together."Go easy"

Oh..there's some hone wear, mostly even across the spine, but kinda heavy at the toe.
Its been honed with a slight smile, on a straight spined razor.
But that works in my favor, I likes a bit of smile.Mike
