Very nice Mike. love the grain of the scales on the Genco. And thanks everyone.
I managed to get the shorty honed. Not too bad. Did the math and found I was going to need 3 layers of tape just to get the angle up to 16 degrees. It came out with a very fine bevel. I like them thin too so that makes me happy. Not wonky at all. Nice straight little line/bevel. I'll give it a try in the morning.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

Something that didn't take too long was making a couple more divisions for some of my smaller razors.

    Mike,dang Brother!!!!!

Mighty fine job on the Genco. And the other one is coming along great as well. The Tru Oil is really bringing out the character in those scales.
Thanks for the compass idea. What an awesome way to get the exact measurement for the wedge positioning.

That is a tight fit! I'll have to pick up one of those tools for my razor tool chest. Nice job!

I had a conversation about the use of a compass in scale layout with Richard at one point too. It seems the Geezer is pretty well versed in the use of tools and likes to ensure that we get it right the easy way. Your post made me smile.
I like the idea of lining cigar boxes, it always look so organized. Perhaps the next time I go to Canada I will have to look for a few of those.
Jerry I am glad that shorty has worked out so well.
    :-)
Keep up the good work gentlemen!

Broke out the scales I started work on an age ago. Time has been short.

CA to a piece of nickel. This weekend I will rough shape them and add the fibre board, then shape and polish them up.

Then it's drilling and pinning one of the two KROPP blades I have. If I find a spare hour I'll do a little bit more on my boys W&B.

Repairing the skeg damage on a customers out drive. Seems a lake gator took a bite out of it. Amputation is the only cure.

10 minutes later...yes Mr. Smith, your boats all done. Your total is 119.34.

Mike, you went real easy on him.
I always thought the word boat was just an acronym...

Boat : Break Out Another Thousand

or you go by it's definition:
A hole in the water that you pour money into.

    Anyway, Nice Job.
