I had to make a new gasket. I wasn't happy with the first one & being the perfectionist I am, I had enough gasket left plus I have another one in the garage. They were in an old Snap On side hanging tool box before they made the drawer sliders w/ball bearings & I told my straight razor buddy down the street I'd give him the tool box if he wanted it so he came & got it & we emptied everything out of it. I just wanted it out of my way & a little more space in my garage. Now I need to make more so I can park the truck in there. It's a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 with 51k miles on it.

Oh, & it's the Texas Edition.

Yeah Tom, this one won't get repo'd like my last one when I lost my job, this one is paid for! I don't mind rear wheel drum but I have 4 wheel disc brakes, Bose system, exterior is called Quicksilver, black leather interior. It has almost everything. It doesn't have the USB but it was an option. I'm happy!
I guess it's time to update to a new iPhone. I originally took that pic straight & not with my phone turned. I finally had to get my camera & do it.

I suppose you got it just in time to watch the waters rise, Steve.
Reckon it is fully covered?

Nope. wasn't texting & wasn't driving when that pic was taken. I wouldn't take that kind of chance, especially in my new truck. It's new to me. I know you're just messing with me Mike. They made it illegal in my town to be on a cell phone unless hands free only. They did that March 1st of this year, yet, when I walk my dog everyday, I see people with shoes pressed to their ears because they think they're safe in the neighborhood.
I'm on high ground Tom. It didn't come close to flooding my home when Ike hit here. I hope you're on high ground too.

I am barely on high ground....Gets in the sunken living room which was a garage.
Got that covered. Some fair seepage in the front rooms last flood.
A few dehumidifiers saved that. Always seems to stop just in time.....
Hope it does again!
It never happened until they redid the main streets to 'carry the water away'. Twice in 11 years and damn close a few other times. Neighbors all flooded.
NOW, they are building new neighborhoods here of densely-packed 3 stories. All elevated. That will help, I am certain!
Oh well! Sumbody fix a razor, willya?Last edited by sharptonn; 08-26-2017 at 12:03 AM.

Whoa, wait a minute, it's in park. You better get ya an eye exam buddy.
They just said it's a cat 4 storm now. My front door is close to 3 feet above the street here & it hardly ever floods in the streets because the drainage is good here but my best bud is in deep shi..........................hold on, it's gonna be one hell of a ride!!!!!Last edited by engine46; 08-26-2017 at 12:15 AM.
