Anyone ever use these 3M Diapads? I cannot wear the thing out!
Great for stuff like this. Won't hardly clog.

Something I've been working since last weekend,
a razor belonging to one of our members, JTmke.
We had talked about sanding the blade, but after receiving, and inspection, I decided that sanding wouldn't make it look any better, without compromising the full hollow blade. He told me the scales were shot, and full of bug bites, but nothing some filler and CA couldn't fix after a good straightening.
The razor is a 7/8 Turner/Cowlishaw & Co. of Meriden, Conn. Blade etched, The Celebrated, German Concave.
Haven't tried a search, so anyone interested, I'd appreciate the help.
Alls ready for putting it back together, just waiting another day or so , while the scales suck up some more neats foot oil.

Nice, Mike! At first look I thought the scales were doomed but I guess not at all. Makes me reconsider some of the bad scales I have, might be able to fix 'em after all. Love the CT razors, somewhere Martin has posted info on the maker, I would think.

That Turner is The same Turner of Torrey Fame. Seems he worked for Wostenholm in Sheffield and was brought to the U.S. by Heinisch of New Jersey. After a bit, he partnered with Colishaw in Conn, split from Colishaw and made razors with only his name on them (rare!).
Made early razors for the stropmaker Torrey while still in Conn and was persuaded to move to Mass and head-up Torrey's razor production. Wound-up running the whole show there.
Some old American steel!

Now that you mention it, Tom. I do remember some talk about that before. Now I now why the name seemed familiar
