Thanked: 2284Not the first time Shawn. I've done some in the past, and it truly sucks. Haha. You have to be super careful that it doesn't tear out, which it is highly prone to do. I'm hoping this blank will be less brittle than the last time I turned some.

The last time I turned it I was turning with the grain. Like a rip cut on a table saw and I think that was the issue with the tear-out. As soon as it hit the end grain it wanted to tear along the grain lines. This time I'll be cuting across the grain which I'm hoping will be a better experience.Last edited by HARRYWALLY; 05-03-2017 at 02:53 AM.
