Yeah, but if the customer knew how long it took me, he'd call me a thief for the charge. But there is a minimum charge of an hour, plus tax..
But they don't see that, only.....you mean to tell me its costing me $100, for ten minutes work.!!!!
Yep....! No cash....no splash.! [emoji41]Mike

Dug this Ern up and found it not in the best of shape. Did some polishing with the buffer. The scales were not worth trying to save. Found these scales in the drawer. Pinned them up and ready for the hones.
The Crown has the top cut off like the stamp wasn't lined up correctly. Marked "Second Choice"?

Nice! The scales you found look great with it. I have a couple ERNs that could use that same treatment you did there. I have another that's good to go and it's a terrific shaver. Been a while since I've used it, maybe I should

I did have to work over the stabilizer a bit too and going by the pics I see I might need to do a bit more. Guess I'll find out when I get it on the stones.

Finished My Henkels Finally!!
Well here are my first set of scales, made out of honey horn. All cutting and shaping done by hand, including polishing with Presta Ultra Cut Creme, followed by Presta Final Polish. I'm a detailer and the products we use to fix scratches has been working absolutely amazing to polish most scales I've come across so far lol.
After Rough Shaping With 60 Grit
Finished Project!!
I am super please with the way everything came out. Feels really balanced and comfortable stropping, now to hone her up and get her shaving. It was funny I got so excited to put everything together I pinned the pivot without the pivot washers installed. Had to take it all apart, guess I learned a lesson. lol"If the brakes don't stop it, something will"

Nice job on the scales. I dont go as low as 60grit. Dont want to have to sand out those deep scratches. 120 on the belt sander then 180 on belt sander. Then the work begins by hand.

The wedge is made out of black plastic. Got it from work, was a plastic shroud for a car battery. Also got some white plastic that I'm going to use for wedge material. Worked out really good if I do say so myself, this whole restore thing definitely sparked something in me. I plan on buying another lot from the same seller, maybe this weekend if they are still there.
