A set of scales for a Freddy Reynolds, and a few Razors from the last find.
Sorry, I didn't take any before pics, besides the ones from show n tell, thread.

The first razor out the gate, was the covered tang, Herder.

Only needed a rubbing with 3M, a quick bevel set, and breeze across the rocks, and a great test shave.

The next one was a heap of active rust, at least only on the parts outside of the scales.

So I cut the rust off with a SE blade, then 3M & steel wool. I was excited to find what the tang read, once thru the rust.

Even more impressed to see "NO" hone wear

Its 13/16ths. Here's a comparison against my FBU

I guess I can live with the five o'clock shadow, from the teeny pits.

Cleaned and straightened the scales, a quick polish with Flitz, and back together with silver nickle rod, and SS under washers.

    Nice looking razors there outback.

I just finished up that W&B wedge for my friend. Nothing major. Got rid of the a active rust with MAAS. Cleaned and polished the scales and lead wedge. Re pinned with brass and a trip to the stones. My buddy wanted to leave the character of the blade intact which was a relief to me.

Shave test went very well, I love these old sheffield wedges. Now off to its new home.

Nice work fellas! Some great outcomes posted here lately which means a few more sent honorably back into service

Mike, you're getting back into "machine gun" form, good to see it. Hey, what about that zebrawood scale I see laying there? How's that project coming along?

I got um thinned out, just needs shaped.
I work on them awhile, then rest my hands while I do something else, on the table. But not quite MGM...yet! [emoji41]

    Just a LITTLE project...LOL

This is the blade I cracked by using a dremel in the wrong direction. Its a bit on the short side but i figured it would make a nice razor for getting into that hollow in the neck. Needs a bit more work. Dont have any scales made for it yet and it needs to go on the hones still. Jim-Slick / J.C. Leineke, Culver City, Calif.
Still has some pitting on the backside up by the spine but not on the edge of the spine so I think it should hone up fine.
Hoping for a BIG Smiling Edge!

Anyone got a recommendation for shape on scales?
