Thanks Tom, will try that. I didn't want to lose the patina, but had to eliminate the rust at the least and also didn't want to mute the etch one iota on this one.
    Looks damn near unused.
I was considering trying to age it a bit with blue or jax after the 3m, but decided I really wanted to keep it intact so decided against chemicals.

My issue with those is the too shiny thing. I suppose in my old age, I like to tone it down!

The patina will be nicer if not so polished, I guess?

I tried to use a bit of mustard (i.e., vinegar) to darken the etch, no joy, but ended up with an almost Evapo Rust type "burn" in a circle around the etch on that W&B FBU, it will fade slowly, but have ordered some bluing myself, and going to test it on another razor.

One thing I read somewhere was that the etch will darken on it's own with time, as I guess, "gunk" starts to get into it and darken it....

Tom - wondering if a bit of that Crox and WD40 and a paper towel might diminish or polish off the Crop Circle that seems to have appeared on that blade....

I love the effect that Jax has and encourage you too to play with it for creating patina.

I really don't think I will do much else. Rust is gone, I can live with the surface blemishes.
For the sake of the pins as received I've decided not to separate it either.
    Cheers gents..
    Nicely done fellas.

Mike, was that the first time using the 3M. Its some awesome stuff, eh.!
