    Thanks Roy,
The shave was nice as I expected. The Henckel is a bit heavier (thicker spine) than the Kama. Both being 7/8. I'm thinking this might be my new go-to razor. At least for the next week or two. Or until I get the next one finished, Ha.

Henckels 17 is probably the most frequently used razor in my selection.

If you can, put up a couple good photos of the scratches. You may not need to do much. As said there's not much to remove without compromising the blade

Well I started with mothers then #0000 steel wool with wd40, then moved to 2000grit and still couldn't get the deeper ones out. I moved down to 1000, then just said screw it and moved to 400, I don't intend on taking off to much metal, I can' live with dark spots just not the scratches. lol

Dave wait till you see the Henckels, other than two spots Im not going to bother with it came out perfect basically. Little more hone wear than I could see in the photos but all good, waiting on some horn material to come in with my pinning supplies. I am torn between using the old scales for the parker or making new ones. Seeing as how these are my first scales I am going to copy the ones they came with.

Awesome. I'd try to freshen up the scales from the Parker. But I'm one who will chose the original and keep it all together if possible
Good call on making them the same as the original ones

Yonder, make sure your final sanding strokes are from spine to edge. Makes final product look much nicer keep up the good work.

+1 to that Tom. Real world's gotten real busy again.
Nice to tear away some time to catch up on some good project blade work.
