Makin a set of zebrawood scales for the Freddy Reynolds.
The original bone scales took a beating from all the rust that was on the tang, and rotted out the area around the tang.

Tried cleaning and bleaching with 35% peroxide, but the bone is extremely brittle, and broke upon picking up.
    So....new shoes.

I hope so, took me awhile to figure out which way I was going to cut into the block, to get the grain the way I wanted.
I like it so far, Tru Oil "should" make them pop. Its all hand sanding from here. [emoji41]

Mike, those scales will be a thing of beauty when you're finished.
