Thread: What are you working on?

Finished up a razor, that was to be a dedication razor to our fine members in Texas by implementing the Texas star into the third pin. After several attempts I found nothing that worked or would fit the scales to my liking.
The blade just needed a good cleaning with 3M, but the scales were a mess. I sanded them to 3000 grt. then polished by hand, pinned with brass domes, silver nickel rod and a lead wedge.
Dated 1921- 1923 , I bring to you.
Here's a before pic.
I'm thinking its more from 1921 because of the frogking stamp mark on the reverse side of the tang.
Keeping polished aluminum scratchless, is gonna be a hoot!
To our fine members in Texas, Thank you for your help in the past, and the lasting friendship earned thru this forum.Mike

I'll send it with your strop when it comes home.
BTW it's coming along nicely, a lot more flexible at this time, but some more rubbing and exercising needed. [emoji4]Mike

Nice one Mike. Thats going to be tough to keep fingerprints off of. Ha.
I made a wood cover to the sreel table of my drill press. With a smaller hole too. This should help in drilling those scales and wedges.
It's just Sharpening, right?
