I like the shape and colour of those scales.
The Non XLLs are a great little razor. I made a 7 day set out of them in ebony a few years back.

    Should enjoy that one immensely.
Wow, what a cool project! Now that is a nice 7 day set, very nice! I like the "built/rebuilt" in there. Was the lettering done with the old laser? It came out great in the ebony. Did you make the box too?

I have mine set up on my old drafting table. It is made from cedar strips and some translucent plastic that I have designed for making templates. It works and is what I had laying around. I have a light on top and one on either side. My biggest problem is that it is a serious junk collector. Most of my pictures are with my iPad. I do have a dslr camera but it is a lot more work with transferring images to the computer and then resizing them to a forum friendly size. I pad is good for most of what I do.

So tonight I have a special razor. My friend gave it to me a month or so back. He has had it for 20 years never used it bought it as a pocket knife of all things! Anyway looks like it will clean up nicely. Not taking this one apart just a clean up and hone. Nice 5/8 wester bros. #34 de fi.

Just gotta play around with things and see what works best for what your taking pics of.

Very nice pictures as well. It is noteworthy that everything in the 2nd pic was made (in close proximity) in Connecticut back in the day.

    American pie, that!

So I'm going to snap you all back to the world of crappy pics
This little guy cleaned up pretty fair. A few dark spots from rust but not worried about those. All in all I'm happy. While honing this wester bros. It was sticking to my 8k like a little suction cup! Can't wait to test shave tomorrow night or the next day. Feels good getting back some razor time
