THAT'S almost BETTER, Shaun! :tu
I always say someone farts in Antarctica, I have to smell it here! :rofl2:
So Rezdog and Razorfeld made a trade.....Naturally, they WOULD involve ME!
Some bone scales Scrimshawed with some seals. Cute!
Found a James Barber blade in my pile which will fit nicely. Think I will use small brass collars.
Getting attached to the seals already. This will be cool.
He really should sign and date his work. Neat stuff!

Some plain black scales for a nice little Dovo razor. Horn, and not completely black, perhaps a very very dark brown.
Guess that was better than having to rush her to the hospital on the back of a 1970 electraglide. She went into labor a couple weeks early while I was on leave and at a club get together for me before shipping out. TC
Ps my dad did give me his Toranado to bring her home.
Now THAT is redneck, Tc! :tu
......HAR!.....
Im happy that only the movement had to be changed and nothing inside the movement, so it only was taking the old one out of the housing and setting the new one in (after it was new greased). The only tricky thing was to adjust the jumping hour mechanism as it is the neuralgic point of the movement. Under the Disk that shows the hours works a very very very little spring that kicks the hour one hour forward everytime the minute reaches a point betweens 59 and 0, this mechanism makes a jumping hour a jumping hour but the spring is very vulnerable, in the old movement the spring was broken. The only thing that has to be fixed is the brass ring that holds the movement in place, the old one works but is very cheap made and bent so i dont trust him that he fixes the movement good enough for a rough day. Good that i know a watchmaker who has party for the puw 1561 movement of my jumping hour :)
Next thing to do is to fix the new straps, mokka brown rallye straps of Juchten Leather.
At the second pic you can see my next project, a Anker / Ruhla Watch from the 1960s, a Working Class Watch, made very simple but stable. I had Luck to get a original Movement from teh former GDR yesterday so im happy that the second anker will work too in a few weeks.

So a few sets of carved Rezdog scales in the mineral oil. I like the soak. Makes them yellow-out and actually gain strength, IMO.
Shaun was worried about the ink lifting.....I tested extensively. Not to worry! :rofl2:
