Started a small project last Saturday, since Jerry's scales didn't show up.
A nice little 5/8 Landers Frarey & Clark, with some lite rust and no scales.

Made a set of scales out of a mix matched set of Bakelite scales. Filled existing pin holes with Bakelite dust and CA, then glued them together with paper between, drilled new pin holes, filed and sanded to shape and polished.

Pinned with nickle silver rod and tiny SS washers, honed out on the BG Escher.

Taped off the gold with scotch tape, gave it a bit with steel wool, and a rub with 3M.

I will toss it into the B52 box. It's yours! Would be cool to see it fixed-up.

Tom, you are a generous gent. Always appreciate a challenging restoration.

Today's job was shave related but not shave related. I woke up, got ready to shave, and there was no water. Damn cold weather froze my water pipe at the well head. I spent the day with a heater in my well pit to thaw things out just so I could shave and have a hot cup of coffee. This is the first time in the 58 years I've lived here that the pipes froze. I'm ready for spring.

My friend I can't 'like' this as it just sucks!

I do hear that things are supposed to warm up quite a bit next week and should include ND. I do hope it's true!

I couldn't even do one of BobH's 4 pass cold water shaves unless it was with snow.
