I finally found a set of scales to fit my 6/8 Green Lizard! They did make smaller ones.
Ask me how I know?

Nice find Tom. It sure is cool when you find the original stuff to put things back together. But i bet with a little time, you could hone that chip out of that other blade and sell it on ebay. Ha

Sadly, Roy, I am pretty certain I am the only idiot doing that!

Ive saved up enough bad blades that i could almost make a wind chime but the wife said no. So i guess i need to send them off to you Tom. One day you will get a box from me. If you want them.

Wow, I had lots of catching up to do! It's been too long since I have had time to be in here. Great work/ projects all of you. My latest Tally Ho will be in the SOTD, no clean up just hone and go. No time for the clean up as of now.
I do have an idea I'll be trying for chipped or bug eaten scales, has anyone ever seen the acrylic used for finger nails? Wierd stuff, it's liquid acrylic then a powder you dip into. I'm thinking it would fill large areas nicely. Once I play with it I'll share results. Take care everyone I'll try and check back more often, keep it up.Nothing is fool proof, to a sufficiently talented fool...

Got one put together today. Not as glossy of a finish as I was looking for but I figured I'd better stop where I was at because these finishes are kicking my Back-side.
This is the Wade and Butcher that Vic reground for me. Matching Marado wedge with the Marado Scales. And with a little detail during the pinning, I was able to get it to center like a big dog! Thanks to Richard and Tom for the help and instructions. Brass pins and washers including the washers inside. And only one on each side. Finally!
I'll try and get it on the stones tonight and hope for a nice shave in the morning with it. Crossing my fingers. I'm happy with the way the wedge fit. Something I've been having issues with. Its a wedge in both directions and with the scales being 0.075" they have plenty of flex. Went for the Satin finish on the blade face just because I don't have one yet.
