I'll keep trying and hopefully keep learning. This opens better communication with like minded friends, some I have met and others I hope to meet.

This BelAro 'Rough and ready' is pristine. Seems unused.
It has an annoying chip in the bone scales, however.

Going to try this tooth repair stuff I got at Walgreens.
It will hopefully work on the beak of one of my chicken lamps as well?

It will be interesting to see not only how well it sticks to the bone but how it color matches.

Why not try the CA n Soda......

Slip a piece of scotch tape inside the scale, n have at it.
Won't take but 5 minutes, maybe ten.

Curious as how temporary the tooth repair is, and as Roy...how it matches, over time.

    Nice looker, Tom.!

Yeah...we shall see. It's nice and white, so on the chicken, it should match.
I need something to mix into it for the razor to emulate all the brown capillary spots.
You get it wet and roll it into a little ball with the thumb and forefinger before applying.
Perhaps do it while my hand is dirty?

I wonder if you used say a toothpick to duplicate the shape of the capillary spots while the tooth stuff was still soft then maybe come back with a bit of a dark material to put in the marks to match that it might work.

Ya, I will come-up with something. perhaps on the razor, to use coffee instead of water to darken it a bit. A few dots with a fine brown sharpie. It's a small spot, anyway.

Anyhoo, it is quite white, stuck to my cock's beak and sets-up with the water pretty fast.
Instructions say to not eat for 3 hrs. Hopefully, it will be a bit sandable tomorrow.
These lamps are from the 50's and were the In-law's. The bases in the foreground sucked.
Just reaching up to turn the switch was hazardous as the lamp wanted to tip over too easily.

Found a pair of old bases on Fleabay, aluminum with anodized antique brass. Should be more stable. Got 4 3-way touch controllers off ebay for 8.95 shipped to go in the bases.
2 ofem should work, eh? Now, I can simply touch the base.
Huge bead of goop in between the fowl and the bases. Tomorrow, I can see how sandable the stuff is and get them done and back in my cave!

Been too damn buying to check out the progress of this thread lately. Tom, those chickens rock. Love the bases you found. My wife collects chicken and rosters that catch her eye. I'd be in tight if I ran across those. Although, if I brought them home, she would most likely not like them. Ha.
