Decided to change a little from the razors, having one hour to "kill" before a party.

@Thaeris: how did you make the 3 cuts on the scales of the "razor from your hometown" if may I ask? It really is a very nice overall work.

    Thanks !

I got the genuine pieces of tortoiseshell from a vintage fan, the cuts were made to hold the fan's branches with a piece of clothe.

"Re-bladed" a nice pair of worked ivory scales from Rodgers, with a Mechi's blade.

I'll keep this one for myself.

Not sure I like the papery look to them. Maybe this construction paper was the wrong stuff. Might try some other paper next.

Got to arts and craft store or a bookmaking craft store. Many, many drawers of papers of all types to look at and drool over. Have used a number of these kinda of papers here and there in my fabric work. Not always cheap but might just fill the bill for you.

Ya, the cheap construction paper looks almost like cheap particle board when its all sanded and polished. I'm thinking a regular paper might work better, thanks for the advice. Now what am I going to do with the rest of the 400 sheets I bought. The girls have a lot of colouring to do.
