As is your M&G, Mike. Great brand, I have not had a bad one yet!

This old Levering seems to have little wear on it, so I saved it off Fleabay for a song. The blade etch is perfect and just some work on the tang is needed.

Question for anybody: how difficult is it to duplicate....hold on, how do I describe it....that kind of a smooth crackle like finish that you still see on precision instruments....kind of like the finish on the old Stanley thermos'...guess they still have those finishes....make any sense?

Don't know what it is Tom. All I know is that the scratches in the bevel, are very similar to a 8-9000 Naniwa. A satin finish though, not polished.

Bill, this stuff is the ticket. The silver looks really cool. I have done several MC frames with it. Tough stuff!
