Yeah i have quite the pile of restos to work on right now and was trying to decide which one to do next. When i picked this one up it just felt like a great shaver. Time to add another Henckels to the rotation.

You remember you sent me this one?

A guy cannot have to many Henckels in his rotation. I have had a lot of razors and at this point it is my favorite brand and yet to be matched.

Good idea for this piece of wood and no offence intended here but this is the reason that I don't like styles like this.

What do I do with this piece of junk? Hmmmm.

I will grind until the split goes away and advertise it as custom........

Then again, you have to let the wood tell you what you can do.

I understand where you're coming from, but if I didn't tell you about the crack, would you have the same opinion?

The thing is, this shape has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. It was going to be made whether the piece of wood was cracked or not, and in fact I will be making more like this from other types of wood. It all comes down to whatever floats your boat.

Funny, someone saw this same pic on Instagram and immediately fell in love with it.

To each there own I guess...

    Certainly to each their own.

Even if you hadn't of mentioned it I would have wondered why. It reminds me of that pipe maker that takes his scrap pipes and puts a brush in them. He gets the big money also. Even if I don't care for them someone else thinks that they are the greatest.

    Fair enough.

Ya, that's who I was talking about, Marfin is the guy. Better if I don't say anything about that.

Not my favorite maker, but the craftsmanship of his brushes is really top notch. Tc

    (start humorous font)
They made razors for many many years with pretty high production numbers. There are a lot of them out there in good to near mint condition, I doubt I could effect the market value. Now when thousands and thousands of them from Japan jumped onto the market, that had an effect. Plus I don't have enough Henckels for me, never mind sharing with anyone.
