Used them in brush handles, as well as razor racks to keep the blades safely in contact with whatever I would make them from.
Used the b.b. Sized ones behind felt in vertical 7 day racks as well as under cabinet hangers for a few..
Great things, but they 'may' impart a permanent magnetic charge to the steel over time. That sort of thing could be a problem for those with ferrous whiskers I suppose..
    Cheers.
And thanks Mike, nice to be playin with razors again..

Earlier this year I had dismantled a pair of old computers that I had been meaning to recycle and kept
the magnets from the disassembled hard drives. So I have a couple of neodybnium magnets on hand to
    experiment with.

I'll probably cut these up, but I remember seeing some magnets offered that were 5/8" x 1/8" rods rated at
around 2 lbs. (If only I had Bruce Wayne funding my Research & Development Dept., lol)

Strong enough I have to pick the stand up to flip the straight. Charlie marks the spot. Now I'll get the
file and see if I can do a proper fit.

No pics as burnt black plastic don't look like much on film but the inlay detent for the Puma is done and the front scale is curing.
Pretty keen to get this put back together as its a big puma with virtually no hone wear.

A sad story. I lost or misplaced my little camera and I am stuck with my cell phone for pictures.
I am trying to recreate these old scales that are on the left. Bone is a little weird to carve.
It has grain but it is really hard to see.

Honed this little puppy up tonight. Gonna give it a whirl in the morn.
Have a feeling the guard is gonna make it a PITA with goat & stache, but what the heck, not too many of ya out there can say they've ever shaved with one.

    "SAFTEY RAZOR".....phhhhit !!
Probably cut the living hell out of myself with that damn guard in the way..Har!

I have wondered about those guards. I have a Henckels with a guard and have considered it a few times but have never dove in. I look forward to the report.

Thanks Mike. I am going to bleach the white with peroxide and then stain them with tea, then a very light buff and they should be super close. By buff I do mean by hand and likely either 0000 steel wool or something similar just to lighten the high spots and highlight the lines. Picture will follow, but not good ones LOL
