What are you working on?

I finally got this Puma together and honed. Had to prop it up with a stand as the blade is so heavy it would only stand for a few seconds before it would flop over!

It's a beast! Like 1 1/2+ of a Robison Suredge! The long tang is sweet, but I shall have to mind my ears! :)

Even with these monstrous aluminum scales, it barely fits! Nice and 'blade-heavy'.

I always think these aluminum ones are more gaudy than the silver ones, myself. Takes a while to have them 'tone down'.
Good scales, however. From a time when aluminium was a rare and exotic material.
Something I have discovered about them; Don't attempt to polish them to a mirror.

Pick it up? Scratched! Wipe it with a soft cloth? Plenty scratched! Let 'em be and let the patina come back in!
