Shaped and sanded the ends of the scales (did not unpin the bottom!), drilled a pin-hole, and test-fit.
All was good, so I pinned it up with spacers, double-stacked vintage collars at the pivot.

To the hones......Should take about half as long as a normal razor?
I am awed, thrilled and more than appreciative of the swiftness and quality of this shortie endeavor. It will be well loved and used with care and awarded a separate and solo place among it's larger brethren.

Well, ALanQ, it might not be too far from the truth. I reached my full potential of height as is common among humans, but the years have dealt me the ravages of what else inhabits our genes. I have lost almost two inches in height and since I was never but close to the average American male height and having a mother just under 5' and father not much taller it might be accurate to assume that the Hobbit image is conceivable. It is one I will wear with pride (excepting the big, bare feet since, again, I fall below the average in that aspect also.)

I always respect the power of Mother Nature, but hurricanes are the one thing we always train & prepare for down here. I've been checking & staging equipment since this morning.
I have a meeting with a neighbor in an hour or so & a fuel run at 1am.

There is a complacent attitude down here among a lot of people about this one coming, but I feel something bad about this one. I hope I'm wrong.

Our family is ready for game day.

Just sprinkle some Vegetal around your house and that hurricane will run away faster than a turpentined dog. Seriously be safe.

Yeah, but I would contaminate all my neighbors.
