Thanked: 4827I do have some 1/32" G-10 that I have used for lining bone in the past that is the likely way I will go if they break.
I am at work and there is a limit to the amount of stuff I am willing to cart back and forth, so the blades will wait until I get home.
Fantastic old razor Thaeris. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Man, those scales are beautiful!
I don't have near the patience to try something as intricate as that.
Quite an accomplishment indeed!

Thanked: 4206As above ^^^^^, really intricate carving work Shaun. Beautifully executed 'practice pieces'.
I hope they survive to wrap a blade or three. All deserve it.
I too particularly like the wheat sheaf style the best..

Thanked: 4827A couple of things about it. It takes very little space for me to bring all of my stuff to work. I can pick it up and put it down very easily. I am really enjoying it. I do need to pick up a few things to make it better. I would really like a high end visor, and it is on my Christmas list, so we will see if my kids send me one. If not I know where to get one. I think I may have dug into a we sub hobby here.
I appreciate all of the positive feedback guys. I look forward to carving more and posting as I go.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I've been requisitioned by Sharpton, to make new skins from 5000+yr. old , Irish bog oak, and adorn them with this beautiful Henckels, Friodur Inox, #17.

How do you know that oak is Irish?
