Some Iroko
One scale down one to go. Having to loose a lot of wood to get it down so taking a while. The done one is a bit thinner than I was initially aiming but it is going onto a backing so will end up around the same with as the originals.

Thanked: 4827Once you subtract the kerf there will not be room for three. It looks like two should be easy though. Really thin material can always be back with a liner of G-10 or aluminum or brass...
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

These two appear to be distant cousins. I thought I might pair them off in that Iroko.
One is slightly larger. I wonder if it would suit scales of the same size?
Oddly discovered one of those blades is magnetic.

Thanked: 227Incidentally.
The top one is marked made in England ground in Hamburg on the other side as well as what appears to be a 0 (no idea what that signifies) and is more the shape seen with KROPP.
The bottom has absolutely no other markings than the KROPP logo and isnt a roundpoint.
I can find no information for that razor.

Far from a razor, but had to let ya guys in on this product.
Some of you know I work in the marine industry, well I was put in charge of detailing a used boat for an upcoming boat show. The metal fixtures are all covered in corrosion and rust, and the boss wants it like new.
So I tried this stuff. 3M metal restorer & polish.
Stuff is "AMAZING"!!
A small amount on a rag, rubbed by hand, polish with clean rag. Works about that fast too. Gotta try this on a blade.

Had a little while tonight, so got this out of the to do box. I sanded up to 12k and decided I was happy enough. Really just wanted to remove the rust and tarnish.
The scales don't look that brown in person lol but could proobably do with a little more polish.
Oh also, they have been etched. I managed to keep it.
A bit before
Bit of uneven honeware. Gonna be a task to hone 😬
